What Is RSS?
RSS is a family of formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog
entries, news headlines or podcasts. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with
their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.
How Do I Subscribe?
To subscribe, first you will need a feed reader. You can choose from either a News Reader
(desktop software) or RSS Aggregator (online tool for viewing feeds). How you subscribe
depends on what feed reader you choose. Typically, you can copy the address of the RSS feed
(right-click and select Copy Link or Copy Shortcut) and then use the add feed feature on
your reader.
Newer browsers are "RSS aware" and let you add feeds directly through the browser. If you
have an RSS aware browser, you will see an RSS icon in the address bar of your browser on
pages that have RSS feeds available. If you click on that icon, your browser will provide
options for subscribing to that feed.
